Development of the Ecological Tourism
In spite
of the preserve territory’s remoteness, the number of people visiting the preserve is
increasing annually. Those are mostly groups, travelling around Baikal on vessels, but
there are also tourists intersted in the Barguzin Preserve itself.
In the preserve there are 2 ecological excursion routes. The most
popular is the trail in the Shumilikha river valley. It was made by the ESSACA students.
At the
southern cordon the ecological-enlightenment permanent station “Sosnovka” is being
established, where, after the several summer houses are finished, both adult visitors and
children, including feoreigner guests, can be received.
The tourists get acquainted with the Nature Museum at Davsha. Now it is
being reexpositioned supported with the grant of United Ecological Fund of Buryatia. In
the building of the Preserve’s Scientific Department (in Davsha settlement) an
exhibition “Forest Fire: A Look From The Preserve” is held.
In the
mouth of the Kabanya river the ecological tourism base (which also can be used for
accommodating a children’s ecological camp) is being equipped. The broading of the
activities on receiving visitors at the biospheric lot will reduce the ecological trail
busyness in the preserve’s “nucleus”.
The forms and methods of leading the ecological-enlightenment activity
at the Barguzin Reservation are successfully developed and improved.
